It is an ironic twist that the most effective way of helping yourself is to help others. We are not talking about being altruistic or about being good for the sake of being good. This is about something fundamental to the nature of the human being: your soul has a gift to bring to others. And, in the process of your soul giving it, you benefit.

Through New Equations you experientially learn to bring your soul forth into the world. By physically experiencing your soul as it engages with others you gain what you need to be more in alignment with your soul. This is something that anyone can do in an instant, and it takes a lifetime to perfect.

In 2006 our time will be dedicated primarily to teaching students in the New Equations School, to several programs overseas, and to finishing our new book, The Light With No Shadow (a prerelease version is now available).

In the summer of 2007 we will begin the second class of the New Equations School. Starting in November of 2006 we will have a number of New Equations workshops that will serve as the prerequisites for the next school. We will post these events as the dates become available. If you are interested in being soultyped, you can sign up for one of the small groups that are scheduled every four to six weeks in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States. Or, you can call us for a private appointment. Although we will not be doing much traveling in 2006, we expect to resume our travel schedule in 2007.

New Equations helps people contribute the wisdom of their soultype for the well being of humanity. Each year it grows and changes and moves in new directions. Last year the summer retreat brought together a group of people who where able to find a way to become more present, which they called “underbelow.”

At the summer retreat this year, students came together to help establish a New Equations school. The experiences that they had, the connections they made with each other, and the new energy that came into the world because of these things, created a foundation for the New Equations School. One student said I am sure this powerful group of people will change the future. The school is dedicated to teaching people to become present so they can live from their soul, soultype, and help others to do the same.

Because of their experiences at the 2005 summer retreat, participants of the summer retreat are now eligible to register for the new school program. New Equations students who did not attend the summer retreat can also become eligible to join this program by taking a five day prerequisite course.

We will teach this program in conjunction with the 2005 Winter Solstice, 2006 Spring Equinox, 2006 Summer Solstice, and the 2006 Fall Equinox, to help students align with the four directions. Each of the segments will be six days long. Students will develop proficiency in body-based practices by working with them in between the segments. Those who successfully complete the program will be able to independently continue to develop their SoulTyping skills, help other people become present, as well as teach New Equations courses.

What is required of each student in the program is an unwavering dedication to finding their soul’s path. In order to do this, the student will make a commitment to go into the unknown over and over again.

IMPORTANT: Attendance is mandatory for all course days. Only students who complete all four segments will be eligible to become certified to soultype and teach New Equations courses.

DEPOSIT: $2,000 deposit due by September 21, 2005. After the 21st, call to check availability.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

1) If paying by credit card: 12 monthly payments of $667 due on the first of each month beginning October 1, 2005. Your card will be automatically charged from the New Equations office.

2) If paying by check: four payments of $2,000 each are due on the following dates: Nov. 15, 2005; Feb. 15, 2006; May 15, 2006; August 15, 2006

CANCELLATION POLICY: A full refund will be given of course fees that have been applied to an unattended segment of the training, less a $200 cancellation fee. Once a student has begun a segment of the training, no refund will be given for that segment.

This program is based on the learning that there are nine different types of people.  Each type brings different characteristics and during this program you will learn more about how you can develop and lead from this strength and communicate on a deeper level with the other types.

It will be led by a core team of leaders who between them have the following expertise: corporate leadership and coaching experience, start-up and entrepreneurship. 

In addition, there will also be guest leaders who will contribute creative and inspiring ways to add to the learning.

The leadership team consists of: Morten Nygard, Gita Munasinghe, Ann Stevenson, Jacob Dahl, Anita Costa, Mike Fricke, as well as Alan Sheets and Barbara Tovey, the cofounders of New Equations; and Lars Monsen, full time adventurer-writer.

Do participants need any previous experience or specific training?

No, it is open to anyone who wants to live life in a genuinely satisfying way and who is open to new experiences, has a willingness to learn and wants to live a purposeful life now.

How much does it cost?

Euros 7,200 for tuition, inclusive accommodation and food for all three retreats.

A euros 1800 deposit is required at the time of enrolment and payment installments are available for the balance, provided that 25% of the total is paid at least two weeks prior to each of the three retreats.

Where will it be held?

The retreat centre is located approximately 2 hours from Oslo’s Gardermoen Airport.

Transportation

Participants will be responsible for their transportation to the retreat centre, which is located approximately 2 hours from Oslo Airport Gardermoen.

Residential Summer Retreat

The last Summer Retreat was a remarkable event. It culminated in the organization of the New Equations School which officially began in December 2005, in conjunction with the Winter Solstice. We are looking forward with great expectation to the 2006 Summer Retreat as, like the previous retreats, it holds the promise of inspiring human consciousness!

The summer retreat will be unique, as they all are :-) This retreat offers one of the few opportunities for new students to become involved with New Equations in 2006. (The other two opportunities are a Leadership program and an Action of the Soul workshop, both in Norway.) So, this retreat is being planned with the biggest possible vision for where the energy of human consciousness will take everyone this year. Those new to New Equations have the opportunity to be trained at a much deeper level than usual in this intensive program. Assisted by students from the NE School, we plan to quickly bring everyone up to speed and move into the unknown.

In addition, another program is being planned that will flow in conjunction with the summer retreat, for those of you who are able participate. More details will be posted soon.

The human soul is changing the world like never before. When you can stop and look at yourself, and change your direction at will, you begin to learn what it is like to be free. New Equations students are contributing to the changing world by bringing humanity the means to consciously do this, and hence expand awareness.

Student Morten Nygard coined the word underbelow at the 2004 summer retreat to identify the state of being that coincides with this way of being present. Few people are able to stop their internal dialogue and function in a manner that is not reactive and driven by learned responses. This state of being is extraordinary and yet expected of all New Equations students. Those participating in the 2006 summer retreat will begin learning to do this.

Dr. Seuss' book title Oh, The Places We Will Go summarized our theme for the 2004 Summer Retreat. At this retreat the souls of these two beautiful children were introduced to the group, and seen and honored for the great spirits they are. We could not predict then all the glorious experiences we were to have, as we cannot predict now where the energy of the 2006 retreat will take everyone—but we sure are looking forward to it! —Alan and Barbara

You will also be learning to proactively align your body and soul and engage with the soul of another person. Most importantly, you will be learning how to use your soul's wisdom to contribute to the well-being of others in order to help all life flourish.

Prerequisite: You have been soultyped by Alan Sheets or Barbara Tovey

Lodging: Baird Residential Hall at the Seminary. Housing is double occupancy. Single occupancy is available if space allows (additional $35/night). Notify New Equations by phone or email to request single occupancy.

Fee (food and lodging included):

The retreat will begin at 10:00 AM, Sunday, August 13, and finishes at 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 19. The fee pays for your training, including room and board: lunch and dinner on August 13, and three meals per day on August 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and breakfast and lunch on August 19, as well as lodging the nights of August 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18.
