The number 4 represents the alignment of our physical nature with our soul’s connection to the Source of Creation in order to light and maintain the central Fire. SoulType 4s guide you to a deep and awesome place inside of yourself where there is peace, where everything matters, yet nothing matters, where everyone and everything is connected, where there is calm, exquisite tenderness, intense love, hope, surrender, passion, sensuality, and where time stands still. You learn from SoulType 4s that by going inside to this deep place your body, instead of your mind, will resolve your emotional turmoil and you will not repeat the same mistakes. .
Posture of Strength
There are nine different families of human souls, and your body expresses which family you belong to. We have developed a simple way to bring forth the expression of your soul. When a facilitator challenges you to stand your ground without pushing back, you will naturally assume your posture of strength.
When you find your posture of strength and align yourself with your soul's wisdom, you will feel energized and more alive. The wisdom of your soul is a gift of love you give to the world. It is the most meaningful and significant thing that you have to offer.
Each of the nine soultypes contributes a vital link to the expression of the human spirit. For 4s this link is the ability to align their soul with both their body and the cosmos. This gives them the capacity to assimilate their experiences at the core of their being. By creating this relationship with the body, 4s can make emotional sense out of their experiences. If they do not do this, their feelings and emotions can take the form of unresolved pain and suffering.
The ability to stay in alignment enables 4s to make deep emotional connections with anyone they meet. Non-4s only achieve this kind of emotional intensity with their partners in relationships.
The energy of each of the nine soultypes forms the basis for the spirituality of one of the major religions of the world. (This does not mean that you should join that faith, it only means that you can learn more about your essential nature by studying the spirituality of that religion.) For 4 this religion is Islam. The following paragraph from Huston Smith's book "The World's Religions" quotes Ameer Ali from "The Spirit of Islam" and portrays the positive emotional intensity that results when the body and soul are in alignment:
He who is Lord of the worlds is also the Holy, the Peaceful, the Faithful, the Guardian over His servants, the Shelterer of the orphan, the Guide of the erring, the Deliverer from every affliction, the Friend of the bereaved, the Consoler of the afflicted; in His hand is good, and He is the generous Lord, the gracious, the Hearer, the Near-at-Hand, the Compassionate, the Merciful, the Very-forgiving, whose love for man is more tender than that of the mother-bird for her young. (p 237)
The Experience of SoulType 4
To slow yourself down. To get in touch with your own belly. To feel the hunger all people have to connect. To reach out from this hunger and connect with another. To synchronize yourself with that person. To align both of you with the cosmos. To feel how profoundly satisfying this is. To bask in this delicious state of being. Connecting yourself and another person to all people is so profound that it defies words and logic. Where you came from is a profound mystery that has been explored since the beginning of time. The profound sense of peace that comes from being aligned with your origins allows you to know who you are. This keeps you in touch with your purpose in life-to live, to love, to be, to learn, to understand, and, above all, to respect all life.
