When Alan Sheets and Barbara Tovey, the founders of New Equations, learned of the Natural Frequency Formats discovered by Wes Bateman, they wondered if these formats might correlate with humanity's Nine Soul Families (also called the Nine Soultypes), which they discovered in 1994. New Equations is a body-based system that divides humanity into nine non-overlapping groups based on the location where a person initiates all of their movement (movement center). They met with Wes Bateman and Alan Howarth of RA Music in the summer of 2007 to learn more about the nine Natural Frequency Formats, and have since been researching these correlations.
Sheets and Tovey found that when they listened to RA Music samples on the RA Music website, they could easily feel the music resonate in their bodies more fully than most music which is tuned to A440. Since only one of the nine Frequency Formats was available to listen to on the website, with the help of Bateman and Howarth, they went on to convert music into the other eight Frequency Formats to see if they also resonated more fully in the body. Sheets and Tovey also wanted to see if they could feel a place in the body that resonated with each frequency, and if so, they wanted to find out if these locations were the same as the movement centers they had discovered years before. Sheets and Tovey also knew from previous experience that the sound of the voice of each Soultype has unique and recognizable qualities, and they wanted to find out how these voice qualities would be affected by conversion into the Frequency Formats.
After studying people's various bodily responses, their preliminary research indicates a 1:1 correlation between the Soultypes and the Natural Frequency Formats. They were excited to discover that the voice qualities of each Soultype seemed enhanced when the performer's music was converted into the Frequency Format that matched best with the performer's Soultype. You can experience this yourself by listening to samples, one from each Soul Family. To make it possible for you to compare the selections before and after the conversion into a RA Music Frequency Format, a 30 second sample in A440 (frequency of the original recording) is included.
When you listen to the samples listed below, be sure you are in a quiet setting and that you are relaxed. When you listen to a sample, pay attention to the part of your body that Sheets and Tovey have associated with the performer's Soultype so you can more clearly feel the impact that the music has on your body. The beauty of RA Music is that it directly stimulates the body in a positive way.
Sheets and Tovey will continue to research and refine their observations through the New Equations Foundation as funding becomes available.

Instrumental music, such as classical, may be tuned to any of the Frequency Formats, though it can be fun to tune it to the Frequency Format of the composer or conductor's Soultype as it enhances their contribution. Below are 1 minute samples of Maurice Ravel's Boléro in each of the Frequency Formats. When you listen to them, note from the table the location in the body that resonates with the Frequency Format you are listening to.

Soultype is usually identified by working with a trained professional from the New Equations Training Program. A person can also be soultyped through careful observation of their movement and facial expressions. Watching musical artists in movement is the way Sheets and Tovey soultyped most of the musicians, singers, and composers, on the Musical Artists webpage.
Soultyping finds your movement center, which is the part of your body that initiates your movement. There are nine possible movement centers, as shown in the table. These locations are often called chakras, which is a word that means energy wheel and indicates a place where you are connected to the Life Force Energy.
Important personal attributes correspond with each movement center, such as voice qualities, speaking pattern, facial expression, body alignment, energetic presence, as well as wisdom about certain things important to the welfare of humanity. The more a person activates these attributes, the more positive and helpful the energy is that they bring to the world. More information is at www.newequations.com
