Something fun and serendipitous happened in the music world.
Some of you may remember Bobby Vinton's very popular 1964 hit, "Mr. Lonely." He sang: "Lonely, I'm Mister Lonely, I have nobody for my own..." Bobby Vinton is a SoulType 4.
Another SoulType 4 is Akon (Aliaune Thiam). Raised in New Jersey, he is a Senegalese-born writer/producer/singer who blends soulful Pop, R&B and Hip Hop. Akon recently released an enchanting tune called "Lonely" that incorporates a version of Vinton's voice singing "Mr. Lonely." It cleverly draws you into the feelings of the song.

According to contactmusic.com (01/04/2005 09:25) Vinton admits he was reluctant to OK the tune when he first heard it. He said, "Gee, I don't know -- but my wife and daughter started to scream what a hit record it is. Akon wanted me to do the video but I couldn't."
We have found music to be a very effective way to experience the soultypes. Listen to the songs and notice the soultype 4 sensations their voices and music create in your body. Very much about the pain of feeling all alone, their words draw you inside yourself, and you become introspective about your own history of loneliness and pain. Remarkably, though -- and this is the impact of a soultype 4 when they are coming from soul -- you can then begin to resolve your pain. These artists connect with you so you have the sense of being, at least, understood by them.
Until soultype 4s realize that their ability to go inside is unique to them, they feel lonely. Once they know going inside is their gift to humanity, they are free to help others find this place as well.
