Kris Allen ST 4, Allison Iraheta ST 8, Adam Lambert ST 6

We have featured many people of different soultypes on our Facebook page, providing short written pieces along with videos and photographs.  We’ll be collecting them in groups to post here as part of our “Expression of the Soul”  Series.

Our first collection includes three singers from the 2009 American Idol TV competition.  Kris Allen, Soultype 4, won the program; Adam Lambert,Soultype 6, came in second place, and Allison Iraheta, Soultype 8, was fourth.  The three of them also became good friends throughout the competition, and supported each others unique talent and energy.  They are inspiring role models for recognizing and encouraging the diversity and impact of others, even in the midst of competing against one another.

Feel the intimacy and deep connection created by Kris Allen, Soultype 4. Kris accesses his strength by closing his eyes and going deep inside himself, to the movement center for ST4 (lower abdomen.) His facial expression, body, voice and pace of movement all express this depth. By connecting with himself in this way, he invites us all into a more intense and exquisite connection with ourselves and others.

Adam Lambert, Soultype 6, meets the energy of the ever-changing moment from the center of his sternum (ST 6 movement center.) See the forward and open presence of his chest, and his gestures from and around there. His chest is like a vibrating drum, resonating with the intensity and richness of the energy in every moment. His body helps our bodies be more in touch with this energetic aliveness and intensity.

Allison Iraheta, Soultype 8

Allison Iraheta, Soultype 8, demonstrates power and physicality in her performances.  The movement center for ST 8 is the sacrum/low back, and connects down to the earth. All of Allison’s movements and gestures are downward. Watch her feet: she stomps and pushes down all the time. Enjoy the strong connection and support of each other by Allison and Adam in this duet, making it an exhilarating experience for them and for the audience.

  1. The song Adam sings in the finals is actually called, “A Change is Gonna Come”.

But this is really interesting and I agree with what you said here.

    • You are so right, Freidag, thank you! I’ve fixed the song title. Thank you for your comment, hope to hear more from you!

  2. I really enjoyed the final 5 Idol group song last night. It was heartbreaking to see Aaron Kelly removed but I think the others were better so he had to go!
