Jack LaLanne, Soultype 3

Jack LaLanne, Soultype 3, was a fitness pioneer and an inspiration to people everywhere.

When connected to their strength, ST 3s see the highest potential in others, and inspire them to see it and be it themselves.

The movement center for ST 3 is the upper sternum.  They initiate all their movement from there, and often gesture and hold their arms straight out from that area.  They will “lift up” from this area, as you can see Jack doing in the photo above.

Their facial expression of strength includes a smile and a strong focus in the eyes. A smile is part of their soul strength, and it starts from the top of their cheekbones.  There is an aliveness in the cheek area right under the eyes that is unique to ST 3s.  The focus in their eyes  gives them the ability to see past your persona to your soul, and all that you are capable of at your best.

We have included clips of Jack, and there are many more on YouTube to enjoy. Watch and be uplifted. :-)

In this clip you can see him gesture frequently from his upper sternum as he speaks.  And Jack talks about the value of smiling!

Some of the language may be a little dated in this one, but the message is still clear.  And it’s great for seeing Jack move and gesture from his upper sternum, and the movement of that whole line across his shoulders on the same line as his upper sternum.  He often holds his arms straight out from that place.  His energy is vibrant and inspiring.

  1. Jack Lalanne’s language and body expressions show not just the inspiration of soultype 3, but also how much television, acting, and language has changed! I think a modern Jack Lalanne might say to us: Men and women, plant and eat from your window box, roof-top, community, or individual garden. It’s good food, good exercise, and it puts a smile on your face! He might also say, “Buy a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)share or get your food from a farmer’s market! Go swiss chard and kale!” :)
Jaime Oliver, a ST1, has a wonderful and current TV show where he documents his efforts to change the school diet in the USA. It would be fun to see clips of him from this show on this blog.

    • Thanks Phoebe, great comments! Yes, Jack had a message that holds true today, for sure. Jaime Oliver is doing great work, and if we can find some clips that are a good demonstration of his Soultype 1 energy, that would be fun to feature! (just to clarify – Phoebe is a New Equations teacher and knows that Alan and Barbara, the cofounders, have confirmed Jaime as a ST 1.)

  2. Phoebe….Love your comments as well! Love this statement in particular: ‘Men and women, plant and eat from your window box, roof-top, community, or individual garden. It’s good food, good exercise, and it puts a smile on your face!’ It’s really quite simple isn’t it :) I’m reading a book called The China Study and it talks in great detail about the value of a plant-based diet in terms of being a primary solution to chronic disease prevention! It’s really great and completely scientfically based. I believe nutrition is the simple (and yet complex) solution to improving health (and fixing our health care system). K
